Check into your room, enjoy the mountain air, and settle in. Use the afternoon to relax, explore the gardens, or adjust to the altitude. In the evening, your guide will host a relaxed dinner briefing to walk you through the trail, safety notes, and stories rooted in the mountain’s history. Day 1 — Forest Path to Crater Rim (Approx. 7 Hours) • 07:00 AM: Breakfast at Aranka. • 08:00 AM: Depart by car (30 mins) to the Rinjani National Park entrance. • 08:30 AM: Trek begins through lush forest filled with birdsong and the occasional black monkey. After approx. 1.5 hours, reach Pondok Belanda, a historical resting spot once used by Dutch-era travelers. From here, the landscape opens into meadows and rolling hills. • 12:00 PM: Lunch at Post 2 with views of the distant villages and ridges. • 01:30 PM: The trail becomes steeper with breathtaking views. • 04:00 PM: Arrive at the crater rim (approx. 2,600m). Tents are set. Evening at camp includes dinner under the stars and warmth by the campfire, with views of Mount Rinjani standing tall beyond the clouds. Day 2 — Sunrise at the Summit (3,200m) • 04:00 AM: Light breakfast and warm drinks served. • 04:30 AM: Begin summit ascent (approx. 1.5 hours). • 06:00 AM: Arrive at Mount Sangkareang peak (3,200m) just as the sun rises. From the summit, witness the full view of Segara Anak Lake, the caldera, Mount Rinjani, and Mount Baru Jari. • 07:00 AM: Begin descent. • 12:00 PM: Return to the base. Transfer back to Aranka for shower, rest, and light snacks before continuing your journey.
